feeling bohemian in the prague...........
Bede and i rolled in to prague 10:30 the tuesday morning of october 18, the year of our lord 2005. A three day sprint from berlin had brought us to the end within 60km of the great city. we camped a kilometer or two outside a small town which bede has just cooly, as he does most things, informed me was the site of a concentration camp. yeah, i said i kinda sensed something there.
3:30am
I awoken from a deep sleep by some unitentified rodent outside my tent. for the next 20 minutes i hear bede tossing and turning, the sound being amplified by bede use of his thermo heat contucting "survivial" blanket.
3:50
Bede "are you getting any sleep over there rob?"
me "well, actually i'm up"
bede "I have been up since 12:30"
me "do you want head'er"
so bede and i pack up the tent and just as we start pushing our bikes out of the bush we had camped in last night i glanced down at my bike clock. 4:59am. After racing towards prague, assisted by the light of the nearly full moon and our reflectors, after an hour and forty five minutes we arrive in a small town, velvary if i remember correctly. We are relieved that our extra early morning chill should be mitigated by a hot coffee from one of the two or three "breakfast" shops can see are open.
